Social Responsibility: Our Commitment to Local Development
We endeavour to play our part in the economic, social and educational development of our country. Because of this, we have made it part of our way of doing business to support local wherever possible: we purchase material from local suppliers, use local engineers and consultants for project design and support where they are qualified, we procure services from local trucks and equipment owners on many of our civil engineering works, where necessary; we work with other local contractors and sub-contractors to accomplish project goals, and we provide support to educational institutions, whose students are learning about civil engineering and building technology.
Because of this, we are committed to ensuring that local talent is given a fair opportunity, and we are especially committed to doing our part to ensure that true equity in the public procurement process becomes part of official government policy.
As such, we are committed to the lobby for local talent to have equitable access to public capital, as well as equitable access to the process of procurement of construction services for public infrastructure works. We are convinced that the return of open transparent public procurement practices is in the best interest of the construction sector, and will give best value to tax payers.
